Judi Turner, LPC, LMFT
Therapy is often times a difficult and personal journey that one enters for a variety of reasons. It provides a safe place for people to process and work through circumstances while also offering valuable insight and perspective into whatever journey they may find themselves on. I feel humbled and a sense of gratitude that you would allow me to be a part of this very personal journey that you have chosen to go on. My philosophy is to welcome & embrace you regardless of where you are at in the journey and walk beside you as you see it to it’s end.
My counseling approach is eclectic and is tailored around your needs. The foundation to my approach is seeing the person behind all the details and the belief that through the therapeutic process and relationship they will continue to gain the insight and courage to grow. Each person is unique, and no two therapy sessions will ever look alike. Because of this, I use a variety of treatment modalities including Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Systems Theory.
My areas of expertise include issues such as stress, anxiety, women’s issues, life transitions, addiction, chemical dependency, eating disorders, trauma, domestic violence, parental alienation, grief and bereavement, Co-dependency, shame and self-esteem, compassion fatigue, family therapy, adolescents, couples counseling, and group therapy.
