Carla Wiltshire, MA, LPC
Carla Wiltshire is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. She was born in the Virgin Island and raised in Texas. She considers herself to be warm, accepting, and a breath of fresh air for her clients. She works with a diverse population; specializing in adolescents and adults. She has worked with those needing assistance with a variety of issues including: depression, anxiety, alcohol and drug use, paranoia, mania, psychosis, trauma, and sexual issues. She believes in helping her clients overcome their challenges by providing feedback, tasks to focus on between sessions, and tools for coping through difficult times through the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Client-Centered Therapy.
Carla completed her Bachelor of Science Degree at the University of Houston-Downtown in 2005 with a Major in Psychology. She then received her Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Clinical Counseling at Capella University in 2018. Carla completed her practicum and internships in outpatient programs and mental health settings assisting patients with acute mental health issues, drugs and alcohol dependency, trauma, gambling, domestic and sexual violence, and some eating disorders.
