Adriana Kalinchuk is a Licensed professional in the state of Texas. She considers herself to be eclectic. She was born and raised here in Houston.
Entering counseling can be a scary step; however, Adriana’s belief is that it is important to establish a therapeutic relationship with each client so that they feel comfortable and heard. Her goal is to provide a nonjudgmental, authentic, and empathetic space in which we can talk openly about the challenges that you are facing in your life.
The modalities that Adriana tends to use the most include: Existential/Humanistic Therapies, Play therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. Adriana works with children, adolescents, and adults. She helps those needing assistance with a variety of issues such as depression, anxiety, OCD, LGBT+ issues, trauma, and sexual concerns.
Adriana completed her Bachelor of Science Degree at the University of Houston in 2013 with a major in Psychology and minors in Biology and Sociology. Adriana then received her Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Sam Houston State University in 2018.
Adriana completed internships in a community mental health setting, nonprofit centers assisting survivors of domestic and sexual violence, and an eating disorder treatment center. In these settings, she provided counseling services to individuals, families, couples, and groups.
